　“Applicants to PhD Programs For Fall 2022:

PhD programs in BME, EE, CE, Mech, SYS:

The GRE is not needed to apply to the PhD program for Fall 2022 admission. Not submitting GRE scores will not have a negative impact on the evaluation of your application.

PhD in MSE only:

The GRE is not required from applicants who have earned, or will earn, a degree (BS, MS or equivalent) from a U.S. institution.

Applicants to Masters Programs For Spring 2022 & Fall 2022:

Masters GRE policy ? all programs:

The GRE is not needed from applicants to all master’s programs (except LEAP) who have earned, or will earn, a 4 year degree from a U.S. institution. For these applicants, not submitting GRE scores will not have a negative impact on the evaluation of your application.

Applicants to LEAP:

GRE scores are required from ALL applicants to LEAP

Scores should be reported electronically from ETS to: Boston University, College of Engineering, institutional code 3087. No department code is necessary.

A GRE score is valid for five years. The five-year expiration date is based on January for Fall applicants and October for Spring applicants. For example, if an applicant is applying for Fall 2021 a GRE test taken prior to January 2016 is expired.

GRE Subject tests are not required.
